During an intermediate club football match in Portlaoise on Sunday, the first half was marred by violent scenes as a mass brawl broke out involving players and management from both teams. One player was unable to retake the field after half time having sustained a concussion in the incident. The GAA have confirmed that they are launching in investigation into the row.
