Leinster run five tries past Treviso

Leinster have gone 14 points clear at the top of the table in the Rabo Pro-12 after beating Treviso by 42 points to 8 at the RDS. Despite the absence of their Irish internationals, the Heineken Cup champions ran-in five tries, with the visitors only managing to score one in reply. Out-half Ian Madigan fended-off a weak tackle to score the only try of the opening-half, as Leinster lead by 11 points to 3 at the break. But the home side cut loose after after restart with Richardt Strauss, Isa Nacewa, John Cooney and Fionn Carr all crossing the line in a dominant performance from Joe Schmidt’s team. Nacewa was named as the man-of-the-match after the full-back also kicked 15 points for the home side. In tonight’s other game, Glasgow beat the Scarlets by 19 points to 9.
