Islamic militant group Al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for a suicide bomb attack on the Somali parliament that killed at least 5 people, according to Somalia news reports.

The blast, in the capital city of Mogadishu, killed three soldiers and two civilians, according to Al Jazeera. A sixth person was also killed during the incident, shot by soldiers as he drove past the attack.

Al-Shabab are fighting the UN-backed Somali government and in May killed 10 people in an attack on the parliament in Mogadishu.
