Anne Summers opened it’s first pleasure emporium opposite the GPO 15 years ago on Dublin's O'Connell Street. Back then they received a bullet in the post, Dublin city council and locals did everything in their power to stop the shop from opening. Since then Ireland has had a sexual revolution and the store seems tame in today’s standards. I spoke to Ann Summers and other adult stores to find out what has changed since. Is buying nipple clampers no big deal and equivalent to shopping for clothes pegs in the supermarket?
