This week the Sunday Show examined the lack of white-collar crime prosecutions in this country in recent years- is it a case of insufficient resources for the Gardaí and others who are tasked with investigating these issues? Or is it a case that in Ireland we have never really prioritised tackling white-collar crime in the first place?
Remy Farrell, S.C., joined Sinéad Ryan from the Irish Herald and Shane Coleman in-studio to discuss the problem of resources for investigators in Ireland. The panel also questioned whether there has been a change in Irish attitudes towards regulations and white-collar crime in recent years, which has led to renewed focus here on this issue.
