Argentina have advanced to the World Cup quarter-finals after a last gasp victory over Switzerland.

The Group F winners needed extra-time to finally defeat the Swiss 1 in a scrappy contest in Sao Paulo.

Angel Di Maria got the winning goal in the 118th minute, with the match going into extra-time after a goalless first 90 minutes.

Argentina will now advance to a last-16 showdown with either Belgium or the United States, who will go head to head at 9pm in Salvador.
