Battle of Clontarf Festival continues today

The final day of The Battle of Clontarf Festival is taking place today.

The festival marks a thousand years since the famous battle between the Vikings and Brian Boru's army.

40,000 people turned out yesterday to enjoy Viking reenactments and a medieval village with over 80 tents and stalls. Organisers are planning for a similar turnout today.

Clips of some of yesterday's events have been posted online, with many being repeated again for today's attendees.

However, visitors are being reminded that there will be no DART service to North Dublin today due to essential rail works on the line between Connolly and Howth or Malahide. Dublin Bus will be accepting rail tickets.
