While Belgium were set packing earlier on in the World Cup tournament, it's proved a successful time for one of their young fans.

Axelle Despiegelaere, a young Belgian supporter who shot to fame during the World Cup has just signed a modelling contract.

The 17 year old model just signed a contract with L'Oreal and has already been featured in a promotional video for the brand.

During the World Cup, Axelle suddenly became an internet sensation when she became one of the go-to fans the cameras would turn to.

Pictures of her at matches began to go viral and have been liked and shared on various social media platforms.

Shortly after returning home to Belgium, Axelle created a Facebook page for herself which has already gained over 17,000 likes and followers in a few days. 

She has since made several television appearances and plans on pursuing a future in modelling.
