Investigations are underway after two bodies were found in separate incidents.

Gardai searching for a woman missing in Kildare found a body at 12:30pm this afternoon.

Georgina McGarr (39) was last seen leaving her home in Clane at about 9:30am on Wednesday morning in a black Volkswagen Tourain.

The body was found in a car near Tesco in Naas.

Meanwhile the body of a man was found at a house at Carnaghannagh in Burnfoot in Co. Donegal.

The man is believed to be aged in his 40s and from the local area. It is understood he had not been seen in recent days.

The body has been removed to Letterkenny General Hospital were the State Pathologist is due to carry out a post mortem.

Gardai are not ruling out foul play at this stage.
