A body has been found in the Swedish capital Stockholm, during searches for a missing Irishman.

32-year-old Brian Farrell from Culleens, Co Sligo, has been missing since Monday November 10th.

It is understood the body was found in water off Stockholm's old town, Gamla Stan.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has been providing consular assistance to Mr Farrell's family since he went missing.
