Giorgio Chiellini who was bitten by Luis Suarez has launched a defense of the banned striker.
The Italy defender says "now inside me there's no feelings of joy, revenge or anger against Suarez for an incident that happened on the pitch".
Chiellini added that the four month ban imposed on the Liverpool forward by FIFA was excessively harsh.
"I have always considered unequivocal the disciplinary interventions by the competent bodies, but at the same time I believe that the proposed formula is excessive."
The Uruguayan FA is expected to appeal the suspension, which will also see him miss nine international matches.
