Residents of the Indian city of Chadrapur fled in terror when a leopard broke free on a rooftop on Monday.
A video taken by an onlooker shows the animal breaking through loose tiles on the roof before biting one man and running for safety. Chaos erupts as men flail sticks to keep it at bay, but before long forest department officials successfully cornered and captured the leopard.
NDTV reports that the animal was later released into the wild.
Leopard attacks are becoming frighteningly common in the region - only last week two people were killed in Chandrapur during a leopard attack. The destruction of the animal’s natural habitat is thought to be a considerable factor in this and other leopard attacks across India.
