Ireland's Dan Martin Giro d'Italia hopes look to have ended after suffering an injury in a crash during today's time trial.
The Garmin-Sharp team leader was one of the favourites to challenge for this year's Pink Jersey, but he suffered a heart-breaking crash during today's Team Time Trial in Belfast.
Martin's bike slipped on a manhole cover during the 21.7 kilometre route and brought down three of his team-mates.
The 27-year-old suffered a suspected broken collarbone in the pile-up and looks to have been ruled out of the rest of this year's race.
Meanwhile, Nicolas Roche's Saxo-Tinkoff team are currently in third place overall after their time trial effort left them 23 seconds behind the leading ORICA-GreenEDGE team.
Philip Deignan's Team Sky squad finished 39 seconds down.
