We thought it would be quite a while before something could trump last week’s Daft.ie advert where ‘sexy and adventurous dames’ only were required to rent a room in Dublin.
And yet, just yesterday, Gumtree had to pull this particularly disturbing post advertising a free room share for a female in Central London: “No rent would be expected but occasional personal services (always mutually agreed, always for mutual pleasure) would be required in lieu of rent.”
Yes, that read “occasional personal services”.
The ad in full reads:
"1 bed flat, roomshare available for intelligent, sensible, reliable, honest and trustworthy lady in Central London flat with kind, considerate, gentle and caring professional 27-year-old male. Would suit a student but any appropriate lady in need of accommodation should apply.
"No rent would be expected but occasional personal services (always mutually agreed, always for mutual pleasure) would be required in lieu of rent. I am being honest about this so that applicants are fully aware."
This is marginally less creepy than this, marginally.
