With just over a month until they begin the defence of their Munster title, Limerick hurling has been plunged into crisis with the resignation of Donal O'Grady.

According to a report in this morning's Examiner, O'Grady and co-manager TJ Ryan sought a retraction from the Limerick County Board after they claimed the management team had apologised for 'abysmal displays' during their League campaign.

O'Grady tells the paper he has no other option but to resign, and that Ryan will continue on in the interests of continuity.
