A protester has charged onto the stage during a press conference being given by the head of the European Central Bank (ECB).
The woman jumped onto the table, shouting 'End ECB dictatorship!' and throwing papers and confetti at ECB chief Mario Draghi.
She was taken away before Mr Draghi resumed speaking. Initial reports say that she is a member of FEMEN - a feminist protest group.
Some activists accuse the bank of trying to enforce budget austerity measures on Eurozone countries, such as Greece, that are under financial bailout programmes.
There is likely to be an investigation into how she managed to get into the news conference.
The ECB has been widely criticised by anti-austerity groups across the continent. Last month, thousands of protesters clashed with police outside of the ECB new headquarters in Frankfurt. 350 demonstrators were subsequently arrested and 90 police officers were injured.
After that unrest Mr Draghi said that anti-austerity group's criticisms of the bank have been ‘unfair.’
In less dramatic news, the ECB announced today that interest rates will stay at their current record low of 0.5%.
The ECB president also said that there is already "clear evidence" that the ECB quantitative easing is working. He argues that borrowing conditions have "improved notably" since the bank started its bond buying programme.
Mr Draghi concluded by warning that the Eurozone needs to take more supply side measures to stimulate the European economy.
