A woman whose baby was one of those who died at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise is praising the Health Minister.

Leo Varadkar attended an emotional meeting last week with many families who'd lost babies at the hospital.

Speaking after that meeting, the Minister said he was personally "ashamed" at the treatment of grieving mothers there.

One of those was Kildare woman, Janice Boland, whose daughter and first child, Caitlin, died there in 2006.
