Tributes are being paid to former Birmingham City striker Christian 'Chucho' Benitez who passed away in Qatar aged 27.
The Ecuador international represented his country at the 2006 World Cup.
Benitez' father claimed that his son had passed away due to complications from appendicitis, although the official cause of death has not been confirmed.

He spent one season on loan at Birmingham, scoring four goals in the 2009-10.
Just three weeks ago, Chucho had signed for Qatari club El Jais and had featured in a game for them only yesterday.
