A tourism project undertaken by Failte Ireland has been chosen as a leading case of innovation and best practice by the European Commission.

The Merrion Square project in Dublin is one of twenty named in a new report on Enhancing the Competitiveness of Tourism in the EU.

The scheme worked to engage stakeholders and community from around Merrion Square to come together through an innovation programme to build awareness of its history and heritage, stimulate civic pride and unlock the tourism potential of the area.
