- Dnipro have a habit of finishing fourth in the Ukrainian Premier League. For the past four seasons they have finished in that position and if you look back further in time, they have finished fourth in eight of the last 11 seasons. In this season's league they are...fourth.
- In a minor twist of fate, the club are managed by the last coach to lead Tottenham to a trophy. Former Sevilla boss Juande Ramos has been at Dnipro since 2010. He won the League Cup in 2008 but was sacked months later.
- The club has yet to win a domestic trophy since the fall of the Soviet Union. Before that they had enjoyed a fruitful 1980s, winning two Soviet league titles and one Soviet Cup.

- Tottenham will be travelling to the Dnipro Arena which was completed in 2008. The modern 30,000-seater stadium was not used for Euro 2012 because its capacity was too low. Previously Dnipro had played in the Stadium Meteor.
