The funeral of Niamh O'Connor has taken place in County Cork.

The 20-year-old drowned near Baltimore on Tuesday when she was swept out to sea by a freak wave.

Her boyfriend - 21-year-old Barry Davis Ryan - and his father Barry Ryan senior were both also swept out to sea trying to save her.

Mr Ryan senior drowned in the accident, and his body was recovered on Tuesday. A shoreline search is still underway for Barry Ryan junior, who has been missing since Tuesday.

Ms O'Connor's funeral mass was held at the Sacred Heart Church, Glounthaune this morning.
