Gardai in County Westmeath are seeking the public's help in relation to the murder of Polish man Patryk Krupa in Athlone. 

Its thought he left the town in a black Dublin registered BMW 3 Series car at around 6.30pm on Friday the 20th of June.

Garda believe the car was driven to the area beneath the Athlone by-pass where it crosses the River Shannon.

They say there were four other people in the car.

Gardai have interviewed three of them and are appealing for the fourth person to contact Athlone Garda Station.

They are also appealing to anyone - particularly members of the Polish community - who has information in relation to the murder to contact them.
