Shoppers around St Stephen's Green in Dublin had a lucky escape this afternoon.

A large pane of window glass fell from the third floor of a building housing H&M and Zara on South King Street.

The road was closed off

Gardai say Dublin City Council are helping to clean it up and that nobody was injured.

The road was partially closed while the the rest of the glass was removed.

It is understood the glass had cracked and began to fall, before the fire brigade were called to the scene.
