You can't spell ergonomics without a secret blend of herbs and spices.

There has been a lot of online chatter about fast food in Japan of late, and now KFC is hopping on the bandwagon.

Not to be outdone by Burger King’s black burger, Japan's KFC has launched a bizarre Twitter competition to encourage customers – you can win a number of poultry computer peripherals by tweeting. Or a pair of earrings, in case you wanted to apply a finger-licking aesthetic to your earlobes.

The competition has come about as part of the birthday celebrations of Colonel Sanders, the founder and goodwill ambassador of the chicken conglomerate. All you have to do is head to Twitter and post a link to the company’s promo page. Just don’t forget to include the hashtag – #KFCカーナルズデー(KFC Colonel’s Day!)  – and you could have your choice of the following:

Unfortunately, Kotaku US is reporting that you do have to be resident in Japan in order to claim the prizes. But the competition runs until September 24th, so there's still plenty of time to get your hands on those earrings in time for Debs-season.
