It has been coined 'Hailo for housecleaners' and as of last week, made Irish businesswoman Jules Coleman a multi-millionaire.

The on-demand cleaning service Hassle.com was acquired by German company Helpling last week for €32m.

Both companies have decided to pool their resources to expand their services to other European cities.

"It's been a fantastic experience, but it is hard work for sure" co-founder Jules Coleman told Newstalk Breakfast.

The two firms will operate in 14 markets including cities such as London, Berlin and Paris.

"We got to know the guys that were running the German company Helpling...and we thought we could fight a war of attrition between ourselves for the next couple of years fighting over every city in Europe, or we could pool resources together and look more globally", Ms Coleman said.

The company says it will "deploy substantial capital" over the next few months to grow its position.

Hassle.com will continue to operate under its own brand, and the team of will take on additional responsibilities within the group as global co-founders.

Ms Coleman told Newstalk Breakfast it came from an idea she had in 2011.
