The funeral of murdered Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe takes place in Co. Louth today.
Thousands of mourners are expected at St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church in Lordship for the state funeral including the Taoiseach, the President and the Garda Commissioner.
The married father-of-two was shot dead during a raid on the Lordship Credit Union in Dundalk last Friday night while on escort duty.

He is survived by his wife Caroline - who is also a Garda - and his two young children Niall and Amy.
The Dail will also be suspended for a number of hours to allow members attend the state funeral.
He will be laid to rest following funeral mass at 12:30pm this afternoon.
