In light of some very high-profile leaks and hacking attacks throughout 2014, it would be nice to think that people have learned that when it comes to password security, it pays to be forgettable.

SplashData, which makes password management applications, has just compiled its annual list of the millions of stolen passwords made public throughout the year, ranking them in order of popularity.

Even just a cursory glance through the list will go to show that most of us still take a very lazy approach to protecting our data. The top five for 2014 include: 123456, password, 12345, 12345678 and qwerty.

Rifle through the following 25 passwords, and if you happen to be using any of them, you might want to consider changing them before your selfies end up online.
