Management at JJ Rhatigan and company, and representatives of the trade union Unite, are to consider Labour Court recommendations aimed at ending a dispute at the Kishogue site in west Dublin.

The row over a sub-contracting arrangement has been ongoing for over five months.

Unite claimed it led to some workers earning less than five euro an hour and says the Labour Court recognised that the rights of workers at the Kishogue Community College site near Lucan had been breached.

While the company says it's pleased that the Labour Court confirmed that workers were employed as part of a sub-contracting arrangement and recognises Rhatigan's entitlement to work with bona-fide subcontractors.
