There are calls for an investigation into the actions of Jimmy Savile when he was in Ireland.

The Central Remedial Clinic (CRC) - where Savile was a regular visitor - has re-iterated that it has no knowledge of allegations or incidents involving inappropriate behaviour by Savile.

His last visit to the CRC, which provides specialised care and physio for disabled children, was back in 2001.

It comes after a new report yesterday found that staff at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in the UK knew of 10 allegations against Savile during the period when he was abusing patients and visitors.

Victims of the disgraced entertainer ranged in age from five to 75, and included patients, staff and visitors, found one report.

And it warned there was evidence many aspects of the Savile abuse scandal could be repeated in the future.

There was also evidence to suggest Savile had unsupervised access to the mortuary at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire.

But in a statement to Newstalk today, the CRC said: "The CRC is now under new management and to the best of its knowledge at no time, has the CRC ever been made aware of any allegations or any incidents involving inappropriate or criminal behaviour concerning Jimmy Savile, neither during, nor after, his involvement with the CRC."

"We continue to strongly urge anyone who has any suspicions, allegations, complaints or knowledge of incidents involving inappropriate or criminal behaviour concerning Jimmy Savile to contact the relevant authorities immediately."

Kim Harrison is a solicitor with Slater and Gordon - who represents 168 of Savile's victims.

She told Newstalk Breakfast the CRC should continue appealing for potential victims to come forward.
