London's Charing Cross was evacuated this morning while firefighters dealt with a fire on a train.
The fire broke out just before 11am, with witnesses describing smoke and flames coming from one of the trains at the station.
Around 100 people were told to leave the station.
Annika Anwary, who works in the station, described "quite a lot of flames and flashing lights. I heard the alarm so I came upstairs and I saw the train was burning
"People were just all running out of there. They tried to stay calm but there were definitely people running," she added.
London Fire Brigade said later that there was a small fire in the front carriage of a train on platform six.
A spokesman said "about 5% of the carriage" had been alight.
The fire was brought quickly under control and the station is now open, apart from platforms five and six..
Staff are now being allowed back into the station but it is still closed to passengers.
London Ambulance Service checked two people at the scene but a spokesman said nobody was taken to hospital.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: "At this stage, the fire is believed to have been the result of an electrical fault and there are no suspicious circumstances."
National Rail has said disruption is likely to continue until at least 3.00pm.
