A woman (27) has been arrested in connection with a suspicious house fire in Drogheda, Co Louth last year - in which an elderly woman was seriously injured and subsequently died.
The blaze broke out at a house on Chord Road in the early hours of August 16th 2014.
A woman (73) was asleep in the house at the time. She was rescued by a man in his 30s who entered the house and pulled her from the blaze.
The woman was seriously injured and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, where she died a number of months later.
The man suffered burn injuries that were not life-threatening.
The arrested woman was detained in Drogheda last night, and is due to appear before Drogheda District Court later.
