UEFA President Michel Platini has confirmed that clubs will not be kicked out of European competition if found to be in breach of Financial Fair Play regulations.

Manchester City and PSG are among 76 clubs under investigation and will discover their fate in the first week of May.

However, while punishments could be "tough", Platini has ruled out Champions League or Europa League bans.

"The first decisions will be announced in early May, but you will be disappointed if you are looking for blood and tears. There will be tough sanctions, but no teams will be excluded from European competitions," Platini told Le Parisien newspaper.
