A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the shooting of Christy Keane in Limerick yesterday.
Mr Keane is still being treated in hospital after he was shot several times on his way to the gym at University of Limerick yesterday morning.
Gardai arrested a man in the Limerick area last night, who is currently being held at Henry Street Garda Station.
Last night gardaí found two handguns in what they believe was a getawy car. The car was found burnt out - one of two found burnt out and believed to have been used in the attack.
Two armed and masked men approached Mr Keane shortly before 7 am yesterday, opening fire at close range and hitting him four times.
