A Dublin man has been jailed for eight years for taking part in a tiger kidnapping at the home of former All-Ireland hurling star, Adrian Ronan.

Stephen Freeman of Ballcurris Gardens in Ballymun pleaded guilty to trying to steal cash from a Bank of Ireland branch in Kilkenny in November 2009.

Adrian Ronan worked at the bank and Freeman further admitted using force on him and members of his family in order to frighten him.

Speaking outside court afterwards, Mr Ronan said they can now move on with their lives:
