It's like a nightmare straight out of American Pie, except for this unfortunate soul, it was real and not part of another teen movie. 

When a mother walked in on her son and his girlfriend 'getting intimate', she took an entirely unique approach to dealing with it.

Instead of the usually awkward conversations or 'you could cut the tension with a knife' dinners that most people would have to have after an incident such as this, the mother instead baked her son and his girlfriend a cake.

The cake had ‘Sorry we caught you dry humping our son – we still love you!’ spelled out with icing on the top, and was apparently a gift to the girlfriend of Reddit user ‘One_Skinny_Mexican’ after his mother walked in on him and his girlfriend in the bedroom.

The mother apparently wanted to show up at the girlfriends workplace to deliver the cake personally, but was thankfully talked out of it.
