Over 1,000 students will be getting their first offer of a college place this morning in Round Two of the CAO offers. The offers have been available online since 6am this morning

3,125 applicants will get an offer in this round. Some of those receiving a fresh offer will have previously accepted a lower choice.

A record 60,000 students have now been offered third-level places - the highest ever after round two.

Almost 40,000 students accepted places in the first round, with just under half of those receiving their Level 8 first preference choice.

Applicants who accepted a second choice or lower preference course in the first round may still receive an offer of a higher preference today.
