Laya Healthcare is to push up prices by an average of 4% on more than half of its policies.
The increase will take effect from the first of September.
The Irish Examiner reports that while many of the increases will be modest, the changes could cost some families between €100 and €200 more a year.
The company has blamed the hike on the growth in the volume and costs of medical claims it has received in the past year.
It follows price increases by Aviva and GloHealth earlier this year.
Health Insurance Analyst Dermot Goode says Laya's increase will only affect half of the provider's plans, including some of their best policies.
However he warns those affected that some policies could see increases significantly higher than 4%:
