Chelsea and Everton legend Pat Nevin has plenty of sympathy for David Moyes as fans begin to turn on the Manchester United manager.
Our Monday Night Football pundit joined us for a live show at Dublin's The Mercantile and believes Moyes was dealt a bad hand.
"That team that he's been sold, that pup that he's been sold is nothing short of a joke. Rio Ferdinand can't run. Evra cannot defend. Vidic is getting chucked out. Scholes is gone. Giggsy can play one game in every four. Their time has gone. He has been given one of the weakest teams in top level of football you'll ever get a hold of," said Pat.
"David Moyes went to Sir Alex and suggested to him 'what have you left me? Why did you leave me this?' 'Cos Sir Alex is not stupid. He knew that he had left an incredibly ageing side. And Sir Alex said back to him 'what did you want me to do? Spend the £100 million of your money before you get in?'"
He also added that, "I'm not even sure Mourinho could have done it."
Pat, Ger and Joe were also joined on stage by our European football correspondent Graham Hunter and they spoke about a range of topics from what Jose Mourinho is really like, the thinning bloodline of Scottish managers descended from Jock Stein's influence and why Scotland are also struggling to produce players.
Graham also analyzed the latest turn in the La Liga title race after Real Madrid faltered last night.
