More than 130 new permanent jobs are being announced this morning, as well as 60 temporary ones.
Two American tech firms specialising in telecommunications services are bringing 50 jobs to Kells in Co Meath in a joint venture.
SWG and MDS Global Technologies will create the jobs over the next two years. Both of the companies are linked to the Smartstart accelerator programme.
The new positions will be created across a number of areas including engineering, research and design, marketing and administration.

30 permanent jobs will come on stream when a new distillery and visitor centre are built at the Dublin Whiskey Company in the Liberties.
Over 60 workers will be employed during the construction phase early next year.

Discount supermarket chain Aldi, meanwhile, has announced it is opening new stores in Ballybofey and Macroom creating 40 new jobs
Elsewhere, IT security firm Ward Solutions is creating 16 in Dublin as well as six in Belfast.
The new roles include information security technicians, consultants, customer services and sales.
