A man in his 40s has died and two other men are injured following a road accident in county Cork.

It happened on the N20 between Buttevant and Mallow at around twenty to seven.

The man who died was a passenger in a car which collided with another vehicle.

The two male drivers were taken to University Hospital Limerick and Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries

The road between Mallow and New Twopothouse is closed for a forensic investigation.
