Pope Francis says he has not watched TV for 25 years, because he made a promise to the Virgin Mary.
In an interview with an Argentinean newspaper, he also says he has never used the internet and only reads one newspaper a day for 10 minutes.
The leader of the Catholic church told La Voz del Pueblo he has not watched TV since July 15th, 1990 - adding: "I told myself, 'It's not for me'".
Pope Francis (78) is known to be a football fan, but he said he does not watch matches of his favourite team, San Lorenzo.
Instead, he relies on a Swiss Guard to tell him the results.
He also repeated an earlier claim that one of the things he misses about life before becoming pontiff is going out for pizza.
He said having a pizza delivered to the Vatican is "not the same", adding: "The point is to go there."
