Controversial former tabloid executive, Rebekah Brooks, is set to return to News Corp to run Dublin-based Storyful, according to reports this morning.
It was indicated yesterday that Ms Brooks, who was cleared of all charges in Britain's phone hacking scandal, is close to being rehired by Rupert Murdoch's company.
According to the Irish Times, two people familiar with the situation told the Financial Times that Ms Brooks would continue to be based in the UK but would spend some time at Storyful in Dublin.
Mark Little announced towards the end of last year that he would no longer act as Stoyful's CEO. The former RTÉ journalist co-founded the social news agency, which specialises in authenticating user-generated content and discovering viral videos.
The announcement came one year after the company was acquired by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp - selling for €18m.
