FIFA president Sepp Blatter also says Russia will remain hosts of the 2018 tournament, despite the current political situation surrounding that nation.

FIFA will investigate allegations of corruption surrounding the 2022 World Cup being awarded to Qatar.

The Daily Telegraph alleged this week that the former vice-president of football's world governing body, Jack Warner, was sent payments of over a £1 million from a Qatari company linked with the winning bid.

But Russia is in no danger of losing its right to host the World Cup in four years according to Blatter.

"We don't have any moves to have any change. This World Cup has been given or voted to Russia," said Blatter.

British Prime Minister David Cameron shared his concerns about the 2018 World Cup draw in which England received just a single vote despite assurances from several delegates that they would vote for the English bid.

Cameron said the vote had been "sorted" in advance and has previously described the bidding process as "murky".
