As Dublin Pride gears up for the biggest day of the calendar, Sinn Fein want a date for the referendum on gay marriage.
It is part of their proposals which will create better equality for the LGBT community in Ireland.
There are 10 proposals put forward by the party which they say will bring better equality for the LGBT community here.
One is ending what they say is legalised homophobic and transphobic discrimination in schools and hospitals.
They also want a date set for the referendum on same sex marriage.
Party President Gerry Adams says it will allow groups on all sides to start their campaigns.
Dublin's Gay Pride Parade will be on the streets of the city on Saturday from 1:45pm.
