SIPTU members at the Bose plant in county Monaghan, have voted overwhelmingly in favour of redundancy terms proposed by the company.
The proposals came about after several weeks of talks between BOSE and union representatives.
"We negotiated what we considered to be a fair and reasonable redundancy package. We recommended the proposals to the members and they voted overwhelmingly in favour of the terms,” said SIPTU Organiser Jim McVeigh.
The union has said talks will continue with the company, IDA and government to secure alternative employment opportunities for the workforce.
The union also hopes to ensure “that new investment can be found for the Bose site in Carrickmacross,” said McVeigh.
The company, which has been operating in Carrickmacross since 1978, employed 140 staff, before management announced its closure in late January.
