Sam Allardyce will remain West Ham manager, but he has been told he must achieve a Top Ten Premier League finish next season, and provide "more entertainment".

He kept the Londoners in the top-flight this year, though the style of football used was not always the most pleasing to the eye.

The club say Allardyce has agreed to bring in a new attacking coach, while "considerable funds" will be available for players during the summer.

"Sam was asked to give us a detailed presentation on his vision for next season and during this he assured us that he can deliver that ethos to West Ham United and we have agreed to support him with the resources that he needs. We have mapped out a way forward with him that will ensure our much-deserving fans have more to cheer about next season," the club said in a statement.
