Motorists in Ireland born under the Zodiac sign of Scorpio are attracting the most penalty points, according to the AA.

The AA has carried out an extensive analysis of over 110,000 of its motor insurance customers, revealing that those born between October 23rd and November 21st are getting hit with the most penalty points on Irish roads.

Apparently, it's common knowledge that Scorpios are regarded as the most passionate of all Zodiac signs, often displaying "determined and competitive qualities". A notable passionate Scorpio is Wayne Rooney, but there's no evidence to suggest the Manchester United star is letting that affect his driving. 

Conor Faughnan, Director of Consumer Affairs at the AA, stated that the research was lighthearted in nature and that "to be fair the differences were small and are not significant enough statistically to attract insurance loadings. Feckless Scorpios need not fear an insurance price increase, unless of course they have a higher risk for other reasons".

Other star signs that showed to be prone to penalty points included "spontaneous and adventurous" Sagittarians in second place, while "clever clogs" Cancerians ranked in third position in the AA’s data analysis. 

At the other end of the scale, stubborn and perfectionist Taureans have seemingly been living up to their name. The AA study reveals the bulls have been on their best behaviour while on the road, attracting the least amount of penalty points of all other star signs.
