Investigations are continuing following the discovery of the body of an Irish man's wife in their apartment in Lausanne in Switzerland on Monday.
Galina Schevchenko (46), originally believed to be from Kazakhstan, was found dead in a pool of blood. She had multiple stab wounds.
Some reports suggest she was stabbed dozens of times.
Her husband, Harry Ringwood (48) from Wexford, was found unconscious beside her body.
He was taken to hospital for treatment. Police officers were said to be interviewing Mr Ringwood at his hospital bed.
