West Ham's Player of the Season last year Mark Noble is once again being linked with the Ireland squad having been ignored by England boss Roy Hogdson.
The midfielder, who has spoken of his ambition to represent England in the past, was not named in the latest Three Lions squad, which includes a number of new faces.
Earlier this month he was quoted as saying: "It is a goal and dream of mine to play for England and I’ll never give up on that". However, his continued omission may have changed that stance.
The 27-year-old former England youth international is eligible for Ireland through his Cork grandparents and according to reports this morning, Noble is ready to declare for the Boys in Green.
If his passport is fast-tracked, Noble could become available for October's Euro 2016 qualifier against Germany.
Manager Martin O'Neill reportedly ran the rule over Noble last December.
