A trial date has been set for two nurses and a doctor charged with the manslaughter of an African woman in London who had been living in Ireland.

Aisha Chithira, 32, died after attending a Marie Stopes Clinic in the city in January of 2012, having travelled from Dublin for an abortion while 22 weeks pregnant.

Doctor Adedayo Adedji and nurses Gemma Pullen and Margaret Miller are charged with having unlawfully killed the 32-year-old by manslaughter through gross negligence.

At a hearing at the Central Criminal Court in London today, a trial date was set for March 7th 2016.
